Senior housing soon ready in Richmond Heights community
Under the leadership of Reverend Alphonso Jackson Sr., SBC Community Development Corp., a faith-based, non-profit affiliate of Second Baptist Church and Cornerstone hosted a meet-and-greet informational seminar on Tuesday, May 26 in anticipation of the grand opening of the John and Anita Ferguson Senior Residences.
The residences, currently under construction in the Richmond Heights community, are for seniors over the age of 55. The residences are slated for opening and occupancy in November.
Named after the development company founder, the late Reverend John Ferguson and his late wife, the building will boast 79 one and two bedroom apartment homes for rent. The one bedroom rental rate will be $770 monthly and two bedrooms at $905 per month. Rent will include water and sewer. Each home features.

The community will have controlled access gates, pool with large deck, on-site fitness center, business center, convenient elevators, 24-hour emergency maintenance, and monthly community events.
Prospective senior applicants must qualify within particular income and eligibility restrictions as follows:
• One (1) occupant $28,440 maximum annual income
• Two (2) occupants $32,520 maximum annual income
• Three (3) occupants $36,600 maximum annual income
